Pyromancer Thael

character illustrations for my game project. I was watching survival shows, and noticed how important fire was, not just for food and boiling water, but keeping all those awful bugs away...so that led into having a crocodile guy using fire magic as a survival tool, and not just for fighting and rituals like a wizard-y archetype. Also i find crocodilians really fun to draw, as their body shape is very stocky and rectangular. Graphite, coloured pencil, ink, and and gouache on 8x11 watercolour stock.
